INTRODUCTION

This brand is built by a clinician who is also an active caregiver for her mother with dementia. The site must feel calm, dignified, trauma, informed, and respectful of cognitive and emotional fatigue. Con Calma is a quiet, grounding space created from lived experience and gentle understanding. It exists for caregivers walking alongside loved ones through dementia, autism, trauma, burnout, and the many quiet challenges that come with holding space for others. Here you’ll find soft tools, gentle strategies, and small moments of support, not fixes or quick answers, just companionship along the way.

Founded by the creator of Function First ABA, this is a separate sister space, softened and dedicated especially to the heart of caregiving. Dedicated to my mother.

A Gentle Pause for Your Questions

What is Con Calma?

Con Calma is a calm, quiet space created by a clinician who is also an active caregiver for her mother with dementia. It’s a sister brand to Function First ABA, intentionally softened and separate, meant to feel like a gentle hand on your back rather than a clinic. Here you’ll find gentle resources, strategies, and small tools to support you through caregiving with dignity, understanding, and no pressure.

What kind of resources will I find here?

You’ll find gentle guides, mini-courses, printable tools, and small practices focused on caregiver renewal, nervous system calm, daily companionship strategies, and emotional support. They are created from both lived experience and gentle, science-informed understanding always with care, never with urgency or “fixing” language.

Who is this space for?

This space is for caregivers who are holding space for loved ones living with dementia, autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm. It’s also for foster and kinship families navigating hard moments. Everything here is designed with tired nervous systems in mind, soft, slow, and easy to take in whenever you have a quiet moment.

How do I know this is safe and trauma-informed?

Everything here is created with deep respect for emotional and cognitive fatigue. We avoid clinical language, high-pressure sales, diagnostic framing, or anything that feels directive or overwhelming. The words, visuals, pacing, and colors are chosen to feel grounding and companion like, like someone sitting beside you, not across from you.
